Tom Jenson
Arch.Tech and BIM Specialist
Tom brings 21+ years of design experience with Calgary’s infill and suburban housing, along with extensive knowledge of local bylaws, building codes, and construction practices.
Tom graduated from SAIT’s Architectural Technology program in 2005. Over the next few years, Tom expanded his construction knowledge working at suburban home builders, such as Cardel Homes, Broadview Homes, and Genesis Builders Group, where he excelled at maintaining quality drawings while keeping pace with demand during Calgary’s housing boom.
For over a decade (2009-2020) Tom was the lead technologist at Inertia Residential Design / Gravity Architecture. Tom founded and operated Deviate Design Inc. for over six years (2020-2026), after which he returned to his former company after the tragic passing of one of its founders, Trent Letwiniuk.
In 2021, Tom completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Calgary, with concentrations in Architecture, Urban Studies, Visual Studies and Art History. He also volunteers for Calgary’s East Village Neighbourhood Association. Outside of work, Tom can be found behind a camera or discussing the evolving saga of the Star Trek multiverse.
