Lofty Goals

Calgary has very few loft apartments, which is why there’s always high demand for Battistella’s Orange Lofts in East Village. This purpose-built mid-rise condo building provides 2-storey loft apartments with minimal, industrial-style finishings. The owner of this suite asked us to reimagine their space to as a swanky pad fit for the elite. We ended up proposing two different, but similar looks that mostly differ with the stair design.

In both designs, the kitchen is expand with a U-shape design, with the millwork wrapping around to enclose the laundry room tucked in behind. Upstairs, a new open-type ensuite with a huge 2-person shower is added behind the bed, which is flanked by millwork closets with ample storage space.
